Introducing… Beverley
Big smiles everyone. Here’s your chance
to meet and greet one of the fab upcoming bands of t’future.
Designed to make or break, our demo pages
throw up a bewildering array of good, bad and ugly.
Last weeks top of the pile was a demo put
together by a cheeky bunch of lads from the South of England who call
themselves er, Beverley. We just had to find out why….
Current line-up with ages? Jimi Danger 23, Guitar / Vox,
Maxwell Demon, 21, Bass / b vox,

Where from?
When and how did you form? 2002, met
in a nightclub and discovered they all like Duran Duran,
Where did the name come from? We
didn’t have enough money to put a name on the front skin of the drum kit so we
named ourselves after our drum kit, we could have been called Yamaha.
Do you have day jobs/students? Where
do you work/study? We are all unemployable .
How would you describe your music?
Somewhere between The Stooges and The Faces,
What's your ultimate selling point? We
have more spunk than a Bollywood porn star,

Who are your heroes/inspirations/guiding
lights/role models: Jimi: every girl I have ever slept with, especially the
one who left me for Uni.

What's the most exciting think that's
happened to you as a band? 2 Tyres exploding on our car on the A21 after a
gig,

Which established act would you most
like to be? Beverley
Do you play live? Where? Yes, we are
the resident band at The Pleasure Unit in Bethnal Green, we play the first
Wednesday of every month there. We also play at various other venues in

If so what did they say? We received
the standard replies.
Ambitions: We would all like to kick the habit of …
Best gig you ever saw... Jimi: The
Kills,
Maxwell: Duran Duran, Wembley,
Best album ever made... We haven’t
made it yet but if we had to choose it would be ... nah it will be ours when we
make it.
